ABOUT KAT
Kat Neily is a ceramic artist crafting functional tableware for everyday use and delight. Her philosophy centers on infusing everyday objects with whimsy and personal significance. Drawing inspiration from maritime folklore, childhood memories, and her grandmother's dishware, Kat Neily utilizes clay as her canvas to tell stories through carving and painting.
Born in Red Deer, Alberta in 1997, Kat earned her Diploma in Fine Craft Ceramics from the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design in 2023. Her artistic journey includes showcasing her work at venues such as the Beaverbrook Art Gallery and the George Fry. Gallery Currently, she is further honing her craft through studies in a graduate studies program at NBCCD.
Residing and working in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Kat Neily continues to explore the intersection of functionality and artistry in her ceramic work, inviting individuals to find joy and meaning in the everyday objects they use.
